SPF for Life Bracelets

Dear Friends,

My name is Emily and I am 11 years old. This summer my Grammy was diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma. To honor my Grammy and her battle with melanoma, my Mom, family, my aunt, and cousins thought it would be cool to sell wristbands because so many other charities have been successful in their efforts. We decided we should write "SPF for LIFE!" on the wristbands to remind people to wear sunscreen always. We also decided to make them light blue, the color of the sky. They should be available in about 30 days, and they will be sold for $2.00 each with a lot of the money going to the Melanoma Research Foundation for research and education.

Our non-profit charitable organization is called SPF for Life! and the purpose is to remind people to wear sunscreen with SPF 15 or higher every day for your whole life in order to live a long life!  The blue color represents the sky and reminds you how harmful the sun's rays can be.  Our first fundraiser will be selling these light blue wrist bands for $2.00 each -- profits going to melanoma research and education.  They will be arriving the week of December 5th.

This organization has its first non-profit fundraiser beginning soon that my sister's family and mine are starting to honor our mother/grandmother and her battle with melanoma.  We quickly learned how serious this form of skin cancer is, and we wanted to do something to help!

What are we selling and where?

We are selling light blue wrist bands with the words "SPF for LIFE!" embossed on them.  They will be on sale in St. Louis, MO  and Milwaukee, WI.

How much?

The bracelets cost $2.00 each and all the profits will be donated to a combination of melanoma research and education organizations including the Melanoma Research Foundation and the Melanoma Hope Network.  We encourage you to buy a bag of 10 for $20 and pass them out to friends and family.
